The workshop location is easily accessible by road, public transport and by flight through the nearby airport (Hanover airport). The visitors will be provided adequate route guide at the Johann Heinrich von Thünen-Institut (vTI) gate to the venue of the work. Also, similar information will also be available at the PTB main entrance gate for those visitors that are familiar with the PTI compound.
Visitors arriving by car:
Visitors by car should follow the travel guide provided in the drawing below. Braunschweig is accessible through the Autobahn (A2) Berlin-Ruhrgebiet (Ost-West) und A 39 Braunschweig-Salzgitter (Nord-Süd). By existing the Autobahn through the exist road “Braunschweig-Lehndorf” road you can easily drive directly to the PTB/vTI at Bundesallee, see the illustration in the map below.
Visitors arriving by flight:
The nearest Airport is Hannover Airport, and it is almost 40 km to Braunschweig. If you travel by road from the Airport it takes you approximately 45 minutes to get to the venue of the workshop. If you travel by train it takes you maximum of 2.5 hours including possible changeover time.

Visitors arriving by train will have to take one of the following Buses from Braunschweig Bus station which is located directly opposite main railway station:
Bus Number 461, Bus M 11: You have to alight at the "Busstop Bundesallee" which is directly infront of vTI.
